What is it dermaplaning?
Treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead skin cells and hair from your face. Making your skins surface smooth youthful, and radiant. It’s also do used remove “peach fuzz” the short, hairs on your face.
Does the hairs grown back after dermaplaning?
You hair will grow back exactly the same colour and thickness as it was previously because you are removing the dead later of skin and vellus hair, your skin will appear much brighter than you’ve experienced in the past, and then afterthought regrowing, it seems darker.

How often should I dermaplane?
Dermaplaning should be every 3-4 weeks.
What are the side effects of dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a low-risk procedure. Side effects may include slight redness in your face in the hours of getting the treatment. Some people develop whiteheads on their skin in the day or two after dermaplaning. Infection and scarring are rare after, but they do occur.
Pre-Treatment:
- Please discontinue products containing any exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, astringents, etc.) 24-48 hours before treatment.
- A history of herpes or cold sores may require a course of anti-viral medication pre and post treatment.
Aftercare
- You may experience slight redness and swelling, which should resolve 24 hours after.
- Mineral make up can be worn immediately
- Keep to a simple skincare routine for 2 weeks.
- Avoid sun exposure 3 days post treatment; hat, sun umbrella + SPF is a must.
- Avoid excessive heat 3 days post treatment, i.e. heavy workouts, steam rooms or saunas, etc.
- Avoid chlorine for 24 hours.
- Avoid facial waxing for 7 days.
- Avoid products containing any exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, retinol, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, astringents, etc.) for 24 hours after treatment.
